Virtual planning - easier and faster than ever before

The IPS CaseDesigner makes 3D virtual planning easier and faster than ever before. With this tool, planning and simulating surgical interventions become efficient and reliable. Individualised treatment concepts can be easily transferred through a virtual approach towards patients in the operating theatre.
 
While the IPS Case Designer software is covering multiple sub- specialties of maxillofacial surgery, this first module is focusing on Orthognathic Surgery. It offers an intuitive and straightforward approach to virtual orthognathic planning by guiding the user through a step-by-step workflow.

Patient model

A host of different volume models can be created in next to no time by importing the patient scan in DICOM format. Next to the best possible examination of the patient, these allow for first diagnostic tools, such as the identification of the mandibular nerve channel.

Surgery Model

The differentiation between the maxilla and the mandible is decisive in dysgnathia planning. This is where you as the clinician decidewhether surface data or volume scans of plaster models or intraoral scans are used.

Occlusion and osteotomies

The import of the planned occlusion takes only two clicks. On this  basis, various treatment concepts can be simulated and compared after design of the osteotomies.

Soft tissue simulation

Modern orthognathic case planning is examined three-dimensionally and holistically. Besides the new alignment of the bone fragments and the correct occlusion, the simulation of the soft tissue is of crucial importance, and this can be implemented effortlessly with the IPS CaseDesigner® with unprecedented speed.

Osteotomies

Osteotomies in orthognathic surgery can be created in detail and considering the anatomical specificities through virtual and three-dimensional planning with the IPS CaseDesigner®. The individual osteotomies can be created with only a few clicks by following the step-by-step instructions and can be adapted at any time.

Wizard-guided workflow for optimal case planning

The patient scan can be prepared in the shortest of time and offers the greatest possible scope for flexibility as well as the option of making specific modifications. Intuitive wizards help in creating individually designed osteotomies and in performing diagnostic measurements.

Customized splints can be created without effort at the end of each case planning for the transfer of patient-specific treatment concept into the operating theater. A direct connection to the IPS Gate® can be established in the context of a holistic solution.

Diagnostic tools

Diagnostic tools such as the Surgery Ceph Wizard allow plotting of the desired landmarks, dimensions and planes and require little time and only a few clicks. This allows performing the cephalometric analysis according to personal preferences and with consideration of the patient.

The 3D representation of the mandibular nerve channel is a useful aid in osteotomy planning and thus supplements targeted individual case planning.
